INGREDIENT FORMULA OF DRUGS

Each tablet contains:

Active ingredient: Itraconazole 100mg

Ingredients excipients: granular sugar, HPMC, Eudragit E-100.

POINT

– Candidiasis of the mouth – throat.

– Tinea versicolor, ringworm infections such as tinea pedis, groin, trunk and interstitial skin

– Onychomycosis of nails, toenails.

– Viscous fungal infections caused by Aspergillus and Candida, Cryptococcus, Histoplasma, Sporothrix, Paracoccidioides, Blastomyces.

– Maintenance treatment: In AIDS patients to prevent potential recurrence of fungal infection.

– Prevent fungal infection during long neutropenia.

DOSAGE – DOSAGE

– Take medicine immediately after eating.

(Dose calculated by tablet 100mg)

– Vaginal and vaginal candidiasis: 2 capsules (100mg) x 2 times daily for 1 day; or 2 capsules once daily and used for 3 days.

– Lang ben: 2 tablets x 1 time / day for 7 days

– Ringworm:

+ 2 capsules once daily for 7 days or 1 capsule once daily for 15 days.

+ Highly horny areas such as cases of fungal infections in the soles of the feet, palms: 2 capsules twice daily for 7 days or 1 capsule once daily for 30 days.

– Candidiasis of the mouth – throat: 1 capsule once daily for 15 days. In AIDS patients, organ transplants or neutropenia: 2 capsules once daily for 15 days.

– Onychomycosis: 2-3 doses, 7 days each time, 4 pills a day, 2 capsules in the morning, 2 tablets in the afternoon. Treatment sessions are always separated by 3 weeks without medication. Or continuous treatment of 2 capsules once daily for 3 months.

– Internal fungal infections:

+ Aspergillus infection: 2 capsules once daily, used for 2-5 months, if the disease is widespread, the dose may be increased to 2 capsules twice daily.

+ Candida infection: 1-2 capsules once daily, used for 3 weeks to 7 months.

+ Cryptococcus foci of infection: 2 capsules once daily, for 2 months to 1 year.

+ Cryptococcus meningitis: 2 capsules twice daily. Maintenance therapy: 2 tablets x 1 time / day.

+ Histoplasma infection: 2 tablets x 1-2 times / day, average use time 8 months.

+ Sporothrix schenckii infection: 1 tablet x 1 time / day, used for 3 months.

+ Paracoccidioides brasiliensis infection: 1 tablet x 1 time / day, used for 6 months.

+ Chromomycosis (Cladosporium, Fonsecaea): 1-2 capsules x 1 time / day for 6 months.

+ Infection with Blastomyces dermatitidis: 1 tablet x 1 time / day or 2 tablets x 2 times / day, used for 6 months.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

– Patients with hypersensitivity to the drug or its components.
– Do not use the drug in pregnant or lactating women, only use when fungal infections are life-threatening and when the benefit outweighs the risk of harm to the fetus.
– Concomitant use with drugs: terfenadine, astermizol, cisapride, triazolam and midazolam orally.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING

Hepatic enzyme test values ​​should be monitored in patients with abnormal liver function before dosing.
Liver enzyme enzymes should be periodically tested in patients who have been treated for more than 1 month or anytime the patient has signs or symptoms of liver dysfunction.
Itraconazole should be used immediately after eating it. At fasting absorption Itraconazole absorption decreases when stomach acid decreases.
Itraconazole absorption may be reduced when taken with antacids or acid secretion inhibitors Studies in starvation state that concomitant administration with 8 ounces (equivalent to 226.8g) of cola beverage will increase Itraconazole absorption in AIDS patients with relative or absolute acidosis deficiency. The increase in absorption due to the influence of food is unknown.
If it shows signs or symptoms of liver disease that may be caused by itraconazole, itraconazole should be stopped.

UNWANTED EFFECTS

Itraconazole is relatively well tolerated (although not as well tolerated as fluconazole or voriconazole) and side effects occur similar to other azole antifungals.

Increased alanine aminotransferase levels were detected in 4% of patients receiving itraconazole.
Low but true risk of congestive heart failure.

The most common side effects in clinical studies originating from the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, indigestion, flatulence.

OVERDOSE: Patients should be symptomatic and supportive, gastric lavage if necessary.
